God’s Grace Is Amazing

Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-”

Grace is the message of the Gospel. The Gospel means good news and the good news is that there is grace in God, because He is God of grace.

We received favor and kindness from God without deserving it – that is grace. It is the gift of God. Grace expresses God’s attitude towards us to favor us. It is God’s goodwill towards us in spite of our actions or behavior. It is favor shown without merit and without conditions.

Exodus 34:6 “And He passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin….”

Our God is God of Grace. Grace in God is God having compassion on us. God’s Grace shows in kindness, it bestows favor, have compassion for our disorder and put help in place for us. The grace of God does something great for us – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8

Grace comes through Jesus Christ. Grace brings salvation and freedom as a result of what Jesus did on the Cross, not what we do. Look at it this way: Through Jesus God’s grace planned our salvation; through Jesus God’s grace purchased our salvation; through Jesus God’s grace is applied to our lives; and In Jesus God fulfilled our salvation by grace.

Grace gives us a new quality of life. Sanctified back into God’s image as we were in creation. As we are saved by Grace, we are also sanctified by grace

Colossians 2:6 “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him”

Our lives should reflect His grace. We can use God grace in our life, show others as the lights of the world, serve others in Christ and to lead others to Christ

Romans 12:6 ” We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.”

Romans 1:5 “Through Him and for His name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.”

Colossians 4:6 “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

2 Corinthians 6:1 “As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.

The good news is that peace with God does not come because of what we do, but for what He has done. So, let us live according to God’s grace given to us.
